Each board measures: 3660mm x 150mm x 25mm
Approximate weight: 18.77kg each
Joist Centres
When laying we recommend joist centre spacing of between 300mm-400mm based on using joists equivalent to 4x2 (100mmx50mm)
Cutting
Our composite decking boards can be easily to size using normal woodworking tools. The easiest way to cut boards however is using a Mitre Saw (Chop Saw) with a fine tooth blade.
Fixing/Securing
Securing solid bullnose composite decking boards to a subframe is an important step in building a durable and long-lasting deck. There are two common methods for doing this: using screws or silicon adhesive.
When using screws, the process is fairly straightforward. You will need to pre-drill pilot holes in the bullnose composite decking boards where you want to place the screws. Then, using a decking screw, attach the boards to the subframe. This method is very secure, and it's a good choice if you want a more traditional decking look.
Alternatively, you can use silicon adhesive to secure the bullnose composite decking boards to the subframe. This method is a bit more involved, but it's a great option if you want a more modern look. To use this method, you will need to apply a bead of silicon adhesive to the subframe where the board will be placed. Then press the board into the adhesive and hold it in place until the adhesive has set. This method is also very secure and it's a good choice if you want a more modern decking look.
Both methods can be used to secure solid bullnose composite decking boards to a subframe and the choice will depend on your preference and the look you want to achieve. Make sure to use the right type of screws or adhesive that is compatible with the composite material.
